Multimedia Science in Cuban Highs

Las Tunas, Jan 5 (Prensa Latina) Students and professors in Cuban high schools now have a new computerized program to perfect the teaching and learning process of biology and other sciences.

Made by the Genus group, attached to Las Tunas Higher Pedagogical Institute, this encyclopaedia of nature holds seven modules that, through texts, photographs, videos and other resources, make possible easy interaction with computers.

Francisco Palomares, member of the multidisciplinary team and the creator of the multimedia program, told press that the program is designed for students in tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade to help them consolidate and improve what they previously learned.

Cuba gives priority to the production of computer resources which, along with the massive use of computing and audiovisual media in all the country´s schools, contribute to the comprehensive improvement of its educational system
