SAN JUAN (EFE) – There will be numerous local and international educators participating in the Seventh Encounter on Educational Thought beginning on Wednesday at the Ponce Hilton Hotel, according to Professor Rubén Estremera, steering committee president.
There will be a forum titled, “A Historical-cultural Perspective and the Liberating Education in the Integrated Human Development” where participants will discuss ways to form a new educational culture for Puerto Rico and Latin America. .
The activity, according to Estremera, has been celebrated for 17 years, and more than 800 educators and other professionals will present around 120 works, masking it one of the most important educational activities in Latin America.
The activity is organized by the University of Puerto Rico, the College Board offices in Puerto Rico and Latin America, and the Organization for the Promotion of Educational Thought Development.
"There will be 15 themes dealing with alternatives and strategies educators use in the public and private school systems and universities,” he said.
