Agriculture Month officially launched
* Plan to regenerate agriculture outlined
Georgetown, GINA, October 02, 2006.
A comprehensive plan to regenerate the country’s agriculture sector was outlined at the launching of Agriculture Month 2006 at West Watooka, Region Ten on October 1, marking a significant milestone for the mining town.

The launching was done by Minister of Agriculture Robert Persaud, who said there is potential for an expanded agricultural sector, which currently contributes more than 30 percent to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
