"Using social transfers to scale up equitable access to education and health services" by Katie Chapman This recently published study by the British International Development department, analyzes the impact of social transfers as effective demand-side policies.

It seeks to better understand the effects cash transfers and vouchers have on access to health and education services by the extreme poor. After presenting a list of key considerations in choice of social transfer instruments, the study identifies areas where further research needs to be carried out for a better control and evaluation of these social policies.
