Project "Mapping the Media in the Americas" seeks to evaluate the influence of the media

The Canadian Foundation for the Americas (FOCAL) jointly with the Carter Centre and the University of Calgary (Canada), has developed the project " Mapping the Media in the Americas".

This project intends to map the location, scope and structure of the media in 12 countries of the region: Argentina, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Guatemala, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic, and Uruguay.

The web-page for this initiative was launched mid January 2006 and can be accessed from the following link: www.mediamap.info
