The recent IDB report, “Politics of Policies” was praised in a New York Times editorial yesterday. The influential newspaper highlighted the researcher's conclusion that policies work best when "countries have a professional civil service, a capable and well-staffed legislature, an independent judiciary, and solid political parties with strong platforms".
