Japanese Scholarships

The government of Japan through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Antigua and Barbuda is now inviting application for Japanese scholarships to citizens of Antigua and Barbuda.

The scholarships tenable at Universities in Japan are offered under the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship Programme.

The scholarships offered are applicable to Research and undergraduate students.

The scholarships for Research will run from April 2007 to March 2009. This two year time period will include six months of Japanese language instruction. Students can also study in this field from October 2007 to March 2009.

The Undergraduate Student scholarship will carry a time period of seven (7) years, from April 2007 to March 2014. The scholarship is offered to individuals who wish to major in medicine and related fields.

Applications are also available from persons wishing to pursue studies for five years from April 2007 to March 2012 in any other field. These courses will include a one year Japanese language instruction.
