January 12, 2006
ST. JOHN’S, Antigua

Minister of State responsible for Information, Broadcasting and Communications Dr. the Hon. Edmond Mansoor today made a presentation improving the Information technology capabilities of the Nursing School of Antigua.

Recently the school has made known that its information technology capabilities are below the level required for an institution of that nature.

The school, which trains the nation’s nurses, received two fully loaded computers and internet access for the improvement of its administrative functions.

Minister Mansoor said that it is the government’s intention to establish a computer laboratory with Internet access and equipped with six fully loaded computers during the first phase of the project.

Dr. Mansoor outlined that his government is intent on ensuring that educational institutions in Antigua and Barbuda are fully equipped with the latest technology to ensure maximum learning.
